Import requirements for timber products into Switzerland 

From 1 January 2022, it will be prohibited in Switzerland to place illegally harvested timber and the products made from it on the market.
A new Timber Trade Ordinance (HHV) will come into force, obliging market operators to comply with due diligence requirements and minimise the risks for illegal timber.

Forum Internazionale dell’Edilizia in Legno

On the 12th of May 2017 the 6th forum internazionale dell'Edilizia in Legno took place in Verona. This year the manufacturing community MH Massivholz Austria also supported this very informative technical event as a sponsor with their own information stand. The interest by the architects and designers during the specialists’ lectures were positively noticeable. 

The timber construction-forum Italy offers the carpenter, designer and architect the opportunity to share their experiences on the work and their further goals with timber frame structures and timber constructions. Furthermore the forum gives the architect and designers, the building and licensing authorities as well as any worker the chance to either exchange with one another or inform themselves. Italy is an important market for wood products, modern timber constructions, energy efficient buildings and renewable energy. The timber construction has a rising importance in the building industry Italy’s.

Internationale Holzmesse 2016
 
From the 1st until the 4th September 2016 the "54. Internationale Holzmesse" (international wood exhibition) took place in Klagenfurt. It is the showcase of the wood industry and the meeting place for all companies involved in middle and south Europe. Around 20.500 visitors were able to experience the new developments of the forestry and wood industry. A very popular information stand was from "MH-MassivHolz Austria".
